From May 5th to 7th, 2026, the InclusiveFuture project hosted its 3-Day International Mobility Training Event in Reus, Catalonia, Spain. Hosted by Open Europe, this capacity-building event brought together a diverse, transnational group of educators, school directors, and pedagogical experts representing partner organisations from Bulgaria, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Türkiye.
Bridging Theory and Classroom Practice
The primary objective of this international mobility was to empower participating educators to become active “Change Agents” in their communities. Having already successfully completed the project’s prerequisite online MOOC, participants came to Reus to transition from theoretical learning to concrete, hands-on implementation. The event was specifically designed to equip these professionals with the practical tools and confidence necessary to bring the Inclusive Pedagogical Model and the European GreenComp framework into their everyday classrooms.
Interactive Sessions & Methodologies
Over the course of three highly interactive days, the training deliberately moved away from heavy theoretical lectures, focusing instead on practical, non-formal learning methodologies. Guided by experts across the consortium, participants engaged in dynamic micro-teaching simulations where they assumed the roles of both teachers and students to practice designing and delivering inclusive sustainability mini-lessons.
Other key sessions explored the European GreenComp framework in action, alternative and fair methods for assessing student progress in sustainability, and strategies for applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to ensure environmental education is accessible to all vulnerable learners. The transnational exchange fostered a deeply supportive network, allowing educators to share good practices and co-create solutions to common structural barriers in sustainability education.
Looking Ahead: The Cascade Effect
Returning to their home countries, our newly empowered Change Agents will now initiate a local cascade effect by training their peers, conducting school staff workshops, facilitating hands-on community laboratories with children and parents, and ultimately guiding their schools toward the official InclusiveFuture Green Certification.
Join the movement for a greener, fairer, and more inclusive future!
