Name of the project

Empowering Migrant Workers for a Sustainable Future: Upskilling and Reskilling for Green and Digital Jobs

Brief introducation of the project

The project aims to create upskilling and reskilling pathways specifically designed for migrant citizens. These pathways should represent a concrete opportunity for their swift integration in the labor market (or access to better positions) and at the same time be accessible going to overcome the accessibility barriers to trainings that migrants normally face.

The project will identify market niches with specific characteristics that can ensure the conditions, such as market niches offering high employability through short training programs that don't require language proficiency. The creation of a collaborative framework between public and private actors (the “re-skilling labs”) will be the main tool for labour-market analysis, the identification of professional figures to be trained, and training methods and content. Such collaborative frameworks must necessarily involve different labor market actors (employers’ representatives, companies, employment services) and entities committed in providing support to migrant citizens. This collaboration ensures the training programs are relevant and responsive to the various, and sometimes conflicting, needs of both employers and migrant workers.
