Fostering Educational Collaboration: First Memorandums of Understanding Signed
We have successfully achieved our 18th month milestone: First Memorandum of Understanding signed. This milestone marks the formal establishment and registry of the first bilateral agreements with schools and associated organisations across Europe, creating a solid framework for a collaborative ecosystem dedicated to green and inclusive education.
Understanding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is a bilateral, non-binding agreement concluded between an official partner representing the InclusiveFuture consortium and an external educational institution or community stakeholder.
As a document built entirely on mutual goodwill and shared educational goals, the MoU does not create any legally binding obligations, financial commitments, exclusive arrangements, or legal liabilities for any of the signing parties. To ensure maximum flexibility for schools, the agreement may be terminated at any time with immediate effect via simple email notification.
The Core Purpose: Building the InclusiveFuture Ecosystem
The registration and implementation of the MoUs serve as the gateway to The InclusiveFuture Ecosystem. This transnational network connects key stakeholders -including teachers, school directors, policymakers, researchers, curriculum developers, and NGOs - to promote sustainability education and policy innovation.
Recognising that systemic change requires a whole-society approach, the ecosystem also connects higher education institutions, local authorities, parents, students, private sector partners, and EU policymakers. By signing the MoU, external institutions officially join this transnational Community of Practice, contributing directly to the European dialogue on sustainable and inclusive educational practices.

Schools and educational organisations that formalise their commitment through the MoU gain direct access to significant project benefits, resources, and support structures:
- Access to Classroom-Ready Resources: Signatories receive immediate, direct access to the complete InclusiveFuture Pedagogical Model, featuring 15 practical, GreenComp-aligned classroom activities and comprehensive assessment guides.
- Transnational Networking: Registered institutions can exchange best practices, and connect with peer schools across Europe.
- Methodological Support: Project partners provide onboarding webinars, practical implementation guidelines, and technical workshops to assist teachers in delivering hands-on sustainability activities.
- European Visibility: Certified pilot schools will be highlighted in public directories and featured on the website’s upcoming Interactive Online Map, displaying their dedication to environmental and social innovation.
As the formal verification of the project's growing network, the first wave of bilateral agreements has been successfully completed and registered. Until the end of August, 12 schools and other organisations have signed the MoUs, 2 in Bulgaria, 1 in Greece, 4 in Hungary and 5 in Spain.
