Brief introducation of the project

"LED Education" is an Erasmus+ funded initiative aimed at transforming digital education for school-aged learners across Europe. Aligned with the European Commission’s Digital Education Action Plan, the European Education Area, and priorities for a green and digital Europe, the project responds to the urgent need for more eBective, inclusive, and engaging learning environments in the digital age. In light of research highlighting the benefits and limitations of both traditional and online education, LED Education seeks to pilot a hybrid educational model that leverages personalized tutoring and well-being-focused design to support students from grades 3 to 12. The project is rooted in the understanding that eBective digital learning requires not just access to technology, but also supportive spaces, structured routines, emotional support, and digital literacy. The overarching objective is to design and implement a comprehensive framework combining digital literacy training, emotional intelligence development, and personalized academic tutoring within a biophilic (nature-integrated) learning environment. The project will pilot new courses and one full tutoring-based study programme while fostering collaboration among education experts, researchers, and practitioners from Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and Germany. By building an innovative learning and research hub that supports both digital and green transitions, LED Education aims to set a precedent for future educational models that can be scaled across Europe.
