OUR PROJECT

Inclusive Future is a transformative initiative aimed at integrating sustainability competences into education while fostering inclusive learning environments. This project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, addresses the urgent need for sustainable education by equipping students and educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate today’s environmental, social, and economic challenges.

Our mission is to support schools in embedding sustainability competences within their curricula by developing innovative pedagogical models, providing professional development for teachers, and fostering collaboration between policymakers, educators, and communities. By leveraging the GreenComp framework, we ensure that sustainability education is comprehensive, inclusive, and actionable.

Spanning across multiple European countries—including Bulgaria, Spain, Hungary, Portugal, Finland, Greece, Romania, and Turkey—Inclusive Future promotes cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange. Through training programs, interactive learning materials, and school certification models, we empower teachers, students, and parents to become agents of change in their communities.

Our approach is holistic and inclusive: we prioritize the participation of schools in rural and marginalized areas, ensuring equitable access to quality sustainability education. By integrating digital tools, policy experimentation, and innovative teaching strategies, we aim to bridge the gap between policy and practice, creating a long-lasting impact on education systems across Europe.

Join us in building a greener, fairer future—where education is the key to sustainability and inclusion.

  • The Inclusive Pedagogical Model: A comprehensive framework and practical teaching materials designed to integrate sustainability competences into school curricula using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
  • Professional Development (MOOC & Trainings): An interactive online course (MOOC) and face-to-face capacity-building programs to prepare teachers and school leaders as sustainability “Change Agents.”
  • Practical School Piloting: Hands-on community laboratories and school programs testing new sustainability education models directly with students, teachers, and parents.
  • The Green School Certification: A tiered certification framework (Bronze, Silver, Gold) recognising educational institutions that successfully embed sustainability and inclusivity into their whole-school practices.
